Erica says: There’s not anything queer-themed about this show, but it’s a great storytelling show by an actor of color and I thought it was highly underrated in its premiere at this year’s Fringe Festival. It should be even more polished by now. BTW, Dreamland Arts‘ mission is “to build a healthy community through the arts.”

Mahmoud Hakima recalls heart-rending childhood memories, from meeting a Mystery Girl and tolerating racial slurs, to playing Nintendo and confronting an abusive stepfather. He can’t promise cereal or bacon, but he can promise truth. Recommended for ages 12+. 60 minutes. Each show is followed by a discussion with the artists.
